This budget-friendly accommodation is situated in a quiet, leafy suburb, making it a peaceful base for exploring the city. the rooms, although basic, are clean and safe, with faultless power showers. the staff is helpful and cheerful, providing excellent service. there is a self-catering communal kitchen on the 3rd floor equipped with a microwave, toaster, and coffee machine, providing convenience.
The kitchen on the 3rd floor is not always clean.

It's a nice hotel in the quiet area of the city. Bus and tram stop is about 5 minutes walk. Jelitkowo (beach) and Old town is about 15 minutes drive by tram. The hotel staff is very respondent:)

It's a great location, close to the city center and the beach. I could prepare my own meals and relax in the sauna. Also, laundry facilities and a gym were available. Cons: No fire extinguisher in my room, so I couldn't extinguish the flames from all the excitement.

I absolutely loved the charming decor of this hotel. The common areas were tastefully decorated with vintage touches that made me feel like I was stepping back in time. The cozy sitting area in the lobby with its plush armchairs and soft lighting was perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The hotel was also very accessible for senior people like myself. The staff was always willing to help and assist, making sure I had everything I needed during my stay. I truly felt taken care of.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is more assistance with carrying luggage up to the rooms. While the staff was friendly, there were times when I struggled to carry my suitcase up the stairs.

The staff at Gdanska Szkola Szermierki were incredibly helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We had a delightful conversation with one of the receptionists about a unique fruit called pigwa, and to our surprise, the next day another staff member gave us a printed paper translated to our native language explaining how to use the pigwa fruit. It was such a thoughtful and memorable experience! We truly appreciated their kindness and personal touch. The facilities were also excellent, with clean and self-catering communal kitchen available on the 3rd floor. The location was convenient, just a short and pleasant walk to the nearest tram stop that takes you to the center of Gdansk in about 20 minutes. Plus, there were many interesting attractions nearby such as the Crane, Artus Court, and Soldek boat museum. There were also plenty of options for food and drinks, with Piwna Street being a great spot for bars and Dluga Street having a variety of dining choices. I highly recommend Gdanska Szkola Szermierki as a brilliant and budget-friendly base for exploring Gdansk.

I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful decoration throughout the hotel. The common areas were tastefully designed with attention to detail. As a senior woman, I appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. The hallways and corridors were wide and well-lit, making it easy for me to navigate with my walking aids.
I would have preferred if the staff were more knowledgeable and helpful. Being a senior traveler, it would have been nice to have some assistance or guidance from the staff, especially considering the unique nature of the hotel being housed in a sports complex.
